For more than two decades, Westward has pushed the boundaries of American whiskey, guided by our belief that the future is brighter and bolder than the past. Along the way, we have drawn inspiration from our friends in Oregon and around the world—crafting unique, elevated expressions together.

Westward Whiskey Milestone Edition 3 is our most ambitious release yet, born from Verum Factum—our “maker’s knowledge” refined over twenty years of whiskey making.

This whiskey was hand-selected by Master Blender Miles Munroe from our exclusive 21-barrel Solera system. Used for centuries by European winemakers, this method continuously ages and blends some of our oldest and most precious whiskeys with rare casks, building extraordinary layers of complexity.

This year’s blend highlights finishes in casks sourced through friendships across the globe—from Australia’s Rutherglen, to Bordeaux, to Jerez, Spain, and closer to home in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. The result is a one-time-only expression that captures this exact moment in our story.

Our Inspiration

At Westward, we’ve reimagined what an American whiskey can be. We’ve primarily focused our efforts on sourcing the best possible ingredients – found right there in our home in the American Northwest – and preserving them in each step of our long, purposeful production process. Almost two decades into this journey, we have an incredible archive of whiskey and the knowledge to continue to push the boundaries further. With Milestone, we’re doing just that, with a focus on creating an incredible new whiskey release brought together through maturation techniques. Drawing from winemaking and distilling traditions, we are bringing them to life in an entirely new way - one that has yet to be applied to American whiskey.
