Our team of maverick experts created this first edition of Westward Whiskey Rum Cask in 2019 with the help of a happy accident. This expression began as our rich and brazen Westward Whiskey Original, and was aged in American Oak barrels for nearly four years before the cask began to leak. In need of a new aging barrel, our distillers repurposed empty Katun Rum casks. Signature Katun Rum flavors of roasted and poached fruit married perfectly with the notes of baking spice in our whiskey, and this inaugural Westward Whiskey Rum Cask was born.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Roasted pineapple, peppercorn, papaya
Palate: Vanilla, baking spices, marzipan, green apple, lemon zest
Finish: Bartlett pear, stone fruit, dried malt
