This new spin on our classic whiskey is raised from a mash bill of 2-row malted barley and Special X malt, a prized malt used in Belgian abbey beers and German dark lagers – two of the most iconic classics in the brewing world. Bold and flavorful, this dark malt is used sparingly in both beer and in our whiskey, and produces caramel characteristics that naturally enhance Westward’s signature notes.
